WinRar password recovery

Hi there, I am using a password recovery program on some old WINRAR files.

The program finds out the password in no time, but it is not the REAL password.

I think this is due to the fact that WINRAR starts the opening process as soon as ANY password is supplemented, but it concludes it successfully only if the right one was entried.

Any hint to solve the problem?

I have yet to see anyone successful using a password recovery program. Even if it is a simple, short password. You might have some success googling the name of the file and perhaps finding a post listing the file and password. A Guy

It looks that you are using a software which is good for nothing. You can try a software which has the features like "Brute Force Technology". This will take some time to extract your password, but you can increase the efficiency of the product by providing password hints.

Please try demo version of any such tool, before actually buying the product. demo version can avoid wastage of money.
