    Context menu item not showing

I have installed FileBookmark, and it shows up at the following registry address: Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\FileBookmarkShExt1_0

However it doesn't show in the context menu. Others under shellex\ContextMenuHandlers address are showing, but not this one. Any ideas why this would be?

hi and welcome to the forums :)

there is a program from nirsoft called ShellExView v1.70 - Shell Extensions Manager ShellExView - Shell Extension Manager For Windows you will be able to see information on the context menus that should help your problem

    64 bit version >>> http://goo.gl/INadB

    executable with un-installer >>> http://goo.gl/QedT0

    zip file >>> http://goo.gl/abbLU

    Description

Shell Extensions are in-process COM objects which extends the abilities of Windows operating system. Most shell extensions are automatically installed by the operating system, but there are also many other applications that install additional shell extension components. For example: If you install WinZip on your computer, you'll see a special WinZip menu when you right-click on a Zip file. This menu is created by adding a shell extension to the system.
The ShellExView utility displays the details of shell extensions installed on your computer, and allows you to easily disable and enable each shell extension.

ShellExView can be used for solving context-menu problems in Explorer environment. For more information, read the following article: Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers

Thanks brianzion, yes I have shellexview, but there also the shell extension doesn't show. Others in the same registry position do show, but not this one.
In fact once or twice it DID show, but normally it doesn't which is even more cofusing.

OK, I will try that. It's just one of those really useful extensions that once you've had it you don't want to be without it :)
