Under the File tab, you have to use 'Save selection as..".

PS: Thanks for the bigger font. It does not have to be this big. Size #3 is enough.

Sorry WHS, iwas not clear, i know how to save the project. what i wanted to knowis how do you get the full screen to the finish project.

Now when i use'Windows Live movie maker' to import any full screen video and if iselect the 'standard' settings it will remain to show a full screenvideo but when its saved then it shows the screen with blackenstripes on both ends of the screen, meaning its no longer fullscreen. My question was really, is there a way to use MACHETEVIDEO EDITOR LITE or any other software to bring back the video tofull screen?

For your info,If i select 'widescreen' , the other option on 'Windows Live moviemaker' it does not show full screen but a screen with blacken stripeson both ends of the screen.

All i want isto have the finished video to be full screen instead of havingblacken stripes on the right and left of the screen. Why must iimport a full screen video into 'Windows Livemovie maker' or MACHETE VIDEO EDITOR LITE and after editing have theend results without a full screen?

OK, I know what you mean, but I do not have an answer. I sometimes have the same problem. And sometimes I use Format Factory to crop the black stripes. After you added your video to FF, you have to go to the 'Option' button. And choose the original filetype for the 'conversion' e.g. .avi ==>.avi, .mp4==>.mp4, etc.

Do you know of any other free editing software which is capable of doing simple editing with reasonable quality? Thanks.
I use irfanview for simple editing and it is totally free but it only edits graphics but if you put in the add ons I believe you can do video editing also

On a personal note, can you please contact me at REMOVED when you're free.

Hello WHS,

For your info, its confirmed “ You can't view the Full Screen mode in Windows Live Movie Maker. That feature is available in Windows Movie Maker v2.6 and earlier versions, but not in Windows Live Movie Maker.” So much for progress by microsoft!
