    How to revert back to my Default Shell in Windows 7(64 bit)


    i have installed a new desktop customization tool in my laptop running Windows 7.
    the default shell got replaced,and now i can't see the start menu, my wallpaper isn't there,the right click on desktop doesn't work,all in all i am stuck.

    now i want to revert back to the default windows shell,i don't want to format my computer because i have so many softwares installed.

    i need help in this regard,please help me,i am really stuck.

    pushing the 'windows' key should bring up the start menu--which should allow access to the control panel--then remove the 'customization' software.

    Do this tutorial SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker it will not harm any data or programs you have installed it will try to find and repair any corrupt system files that you have.

    Post a link to the theme you used.

    that's the problem,it's not in the list of installed softwares.....

    i even tried to restore the system to a back date...but it didn't work out....

    Have you run the SFC Bongo suggested? that should correct it. A Guy

    didn't work.....

    isn't there any way i can correct the registry....

    Didn't work specifically? The scan finished with no errors? The scan found errors it could not correct? A Guy
