flash cs4 speed work around for me anyhow

I'm running the final release of 7 x64, with Flash CS4 (master suite with updates) and Kaspersky AV 2010(latest updates included). Wacom intuos3, 4gig Ram etc.

Flash was UNUSABLE, for me the pencil tool hardly worked, drawing pretty much after I had finished the shape. Interface buttons slowwww to respond, 5 secs like everyone else.

MY FIX......
I ran Dreamweaver cs4 in the background and for some reason flash went faster. Turn off Dreamweaver it's slow again. Just about the oddest fix I have ever found but it works consistantly for me.

I also saw a thread from tech support at adobe saying make the undo a max of 50. This helped also (edit-prefs-general - change from 100)

Hope this helps.

Thank You

I wanna say a huge thank you from Paris, France, for your help.

In effect it was Kaspersky !!! my trick : you have to uninstall Kaspersky and reinstall it !!!

It works fine for me, I hope it works for you.

Dreamweaver was slow too, now everything is smooth and fine.

Thanks again for the author of the thread

I have been using flash cs4 with windows 7 in the last 6 months and never had any problem. When I first installed it I did have some problem with it due to some corrupted fonts.
