Problem finding my external drive in Paragon

I just downloaded Paragons free addition and for the life of me, I can not seem to locate my external WD Element L: hard drive to backup to. I've read in the manual about capsules, external media CD/DVD, etc, but with the wizard and without, I still see no external drive (L) showing-up anywhere.....

    Sure could use a hand,

Some information here, although I am not sure it resolves your problem:
Copying of an internal hard drive onto a removable one
    Support of removable devices

There are some issues concerning detection of the structure of removable hard disks in Windows
You could find something useful in their knowledge base:

    Thank you Irene,
You know, Sometimes I wonder why I go through hours of trying to figure out why I'm have a problem with whatever it is, and the obvious I overlook.
I Hope this helps someone..... The Paragon software wasn't reading the external drive because I had pluged it in the USB port after I had the software up and running. I'm always thinking 2 miles ahead of myself and.... well.... I came back from a meeting and restarted Paragon and it was there. Also, I tried adding it to the data base before the restart but that didn't work.... maybe I was supposd to restart after that also.... I'm not sure.
Sometimes, It can be as simple as a restart but.... this boy has to find that out the hard way

    Thanks again Irene....

I usually save the image to my internal drive (for those occasions when Windows still boots but I want to restore for other reasons) and then later copy it to the external drive. So no problemo ever.:)

Yes Ponmayilal, I had that thought also and was close to going that route. I guess I'm the kind of person that has to figure out the problem at all cost....

    Thank you though :)

I also had this problem and I come to find out that the older versions of Paragon (pre-2011 I believe) do not support external drives that are of 2TB or larger. Once I upgraded to the 2012 version it was able to read the external drive without any issues.
