Paragon is different - they don't want to leave people stranded.

All other companies act exactly the way Antman described - and even with Paragon - you still have to run the GOTD setup today - to get the installer.

The difference is Paragon deliberately deposit the actual installer directly on the C: drive - and allow the key they send to activate whenever you like.

Once you have the installer - ( which you must get today)

There is no limitation on reinstalling or activating the product.

Only Paragon do this (afaik). Let's hope others take note.

Yes, thank you. It's the whole reason I was helping Dinesh in the first place.

You can install it as many times you want until 12PM today 30-Sep-09 US Pacific Time (tomorrow 8AM UTC). After that, the installer still works but the GAOTD activation process (needed for the application to work) doesn't.
I had it wrong, what I posted earlier (quoted above) is not true. The GAOTD activation is done to check you EXTRACT the installation packet today. When extracted, you can install it next year if you want to, provided you get the serial today by registering the program before the deadline.

Sorry for the false information; I really didn't realize Paragon does this not like we are used with other GAOTD software.

I get a lot of stuff from Paragon - I also am beta testing something for them now.

They are very good to deal with.

Of course, there is a commercial imperative. They want people to know how good the products are, and that they look after you.

They are hoping to sell masses of the new Drive Backup 10 - out next month. ( Word is cpu throttling will be included - allowing you to choose the speed at which backups are made).

The advice I provided was solid in general. Fortunately for the vast number of members and visitors that are not as smart as you, fellow SF team members were interested in providing direct and specific knowledge.

When I, or any other member or vistors needs detailed advice, I guess we could search using your "username" and "incorrect".

    LOL.Antman.

I don't think Sup was having a go at you. I think he thought my post wasn't clear.

Nobody would have known Paragon have decided to do something different from the norm.

You can still register/re-register the HDM9.5 Pro:

Hard Disk Manager 9.5 Special Edition

    and the PM 9.5 Pro

    http://www.paragon-software.com/registration/pm95pro

I assume everyone already has it?

You can see the additional functions for the Pro version here:

    http://www.paragon-software.com/home...omparison.html

PM 9.5 sounds like an older version - in fact the builds are identical.

There is a slight difference in the boot cd's.

Anyone want to delete the bcd entry for 7 and see if the bcd corrector on the PM10 boot cd will add it back in, and how it handles any non o/s entries e.g. if you have a Ramdisk setup to boot from the HD?
