weather gadget I was on another 7 forum, not to be named.....LOL. Where the poster had a question about the weather gadget. Why doesn't the weather gadget keep a location given to it...once you close the gadget it reverts back to NY. So I did some checking and sure enough it's happens just like the poster said on the "other forum" and on my system. Whether I log off of close the weather gadget, it doesn't save my location and all ways reverts back to NY's location. Is this normal if not is there a fix for this.
PS...I've spent the last hour googleing and BINGing and can't find squat on it. | My System Specs |

Microsoft has told users to stop using the gadgets and they have also basically stopped supporting them (except the Metro for Win 8). Same way other security guru's have said to not use them due to security issues.

My friends daughter has a laptop... can't think of the brand for the life of me, but it has like a built in weather widget, is that any better and could that be loaded on any PC? I'm fairly certain basic info on it said it was brand specific. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Windows 7 Professional 64bit CPU Intel Quad Core i7 3770k OC'd to 4.2GHz Motherboard ASRock Z77 Pro4 Memory 8GB Corsair Vengeance Graphics Card GTX 660 Ti Monitor(s) Displays 24" Asus, 24" Samsung LED Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 Mouse Razer Naga PSU Corsair TX650 Case White NZXT Phantom Cooling Corsair H80, *5 120MM fans, *1 200MM fan Hard Drives 120GB Samsung 840 SSD

Thanks...I personally have never used them just for that reason. I'll pass that info along.
Are there any links from MS explaining so. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom built OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit CPU AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Motherboard Gigabyte GA-MA790X-DS4 Memory GSkill 4 X 2 GB PC 8500 Graphics Card XFX Radeon HD 6790 D Sound Card On board RealTek HD Monitor(s) Displays Dual monitors:Samsung SyncMaster S20B300 Screen Resolution 1600 X 900 Keyboard Logitech G510 Mouse Razor DeathAdder PSU Ultra X4 750 watt fully modular Case Thermaltake Overseer RX 1 full tower Cooling Core-Contact 92 mm CPU Cooler Hard Drives Seagate Barracuda 1TB (primary)
