    OS Choice screen doesn't appear on boot!


    I am not quite sure if it is a OS specific problem; but I have Windows 7 installed alongside Ubuntu 12.04 on my desktop. Recently I’ve got a problem, when I boot the computer the Motherboard graphic appears and goes black, the OS choice screen doesn't appear. As I know from previous experiences the first choice is windows 7 and the second choice is Ubuntu I use arrow keys to select the OS with the screen still black, the screen appears only when the Log On screen appears (in both OS). How do I resolve this?

    In windows 7, click Start, Right click "Computer" > Properties > Advanced system settings, under advanced tab go to Startup and recovery Settings and make sure time to display operating systems is checked.

    Then go to msconfig (Start > Run > msconfig)go to boot and make sure the timeout at the right of the box is set to 30

    Post to this thread is your problem is fixed.

Browser choice screen

The browser choice screen update appeared on windows update today so I installed it, but I cannot see it anywhere and it didnt pop up.
I deleted my XP partition. but everytime I start my pc, there goes the OS choice, Earlier version of windows (XP) and Windows 7. I want to use only Win7, can I get rid of that OS choice screen? I've deleted any other OS in 'System Configuration'>'Boot' tab, and set 'C:Windows 7' as default OS....
