Windows 7: unlock folders in Windows 7

unlock folders in Windows 7

I have mysteriously created locked folders in Windows 7. I think it was done when I was trying to back up folders to disk. I have no idea what is in them and I am denied access. They appear to be copies of existing folders but I'm not sure - some have also renamed themselves in Greek. This is not something I have done.

I tried logging in under a different name (ie administrator) but I am the only user, so it won't let me. When I try to change permissions it just says "access denied. Everyone". Anyone any idea how to get into them?
