Windows updating skype?

I keep getting my skype updated to 5.1 when windows updates
Any help will be much apprciated

Not sure if this answers your question but Microsoft have bought Skype because they are going to disable MSN and replace it with Skype, that's also one of the reason the Skype logo if flat now to match their new UI, every user will automatically go over to Skype if they don't transfer their account manually. That's probably why Windows Update also updates your Skype application

Not sure my issue or questions was "solved"
He posted some info as to a POSSIBILITY of why this might be happening (if in FACT it is)
But for the sake of peace and since we here in Georgia LIKE Canadians n bacon

Then reboot the computer. Does it happen again?
Also, go to the Task Scheduler, and post a screenshot of the expanded left bar and in the first folder.

I deleted skype until I find an answer....as it has auto updated 3 times to the current version on its own.

been using skype 4.2 for a lil over a couple of years now
do not like the newer versions

guess this shows it is being updated by Windows
