How to transfer installed software to another PC

I have a PC with lots of installed software that I use regularly, & about to buy a new laptop.
What I want to know is, is there a way to transfer these installed softwares to the new laptop without going through the time consuming process of re-installing all of them again?

Don't think you can. You can't just copy the program folder over because there are registry entries and other files that will be difficult to find. My advice would be to back up the user files that the program makes (documents, save games, pictures), reinstall the program then copy the user files from the media you used to save them.

Nope. A new system requires the software to be installed so the registry on the new system is correctly populated.

Exactly what Golden said. The only thing that program will do is just move the files and not the registry keys. Making the programs useless..

You're better off just installing them by yourself.

    Alright then, thank you all.
    I'll just re-install everything.
