    Hi moe89,

You've already tried using the 'AlenRespawn' application within 'Windows'. Since the 'Datasafe Restore and Emergency Backup' tool is missing in 'System Recovery Options', it points at a missing or inaccessible 'recovery partition' in the computer system drive. It is imperative that you have the 'recovery image' on the drive to execute a 'factory restore'.

Also share if you ever tried creating the 'Recovery DVDs / Media' for this unit in the past (using the AlienRespawn application). You may use the media to try a 'factory restore' if created. Please refer to the following 'web articles' for more details on using 'AlienRespawn':

    - What is AlienRespawn? | Dell
    - How to install AlienRespawn? | Dell
    - How to use AlienRespawn | Dell

Note: 'Factory Restore' leads to 'data loss'; please backup the 'personal data' before attempting that repair option.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi moe89,

In absence of a 'Recovery Partition', a clean 'Windows Re-install' was the best alternate option.
    Thank you for confirming.
