    Folders-Can I prevent accidental deletion?

Hi once again and apologies if this has been covered, I looked in search and couldn't find the answer, sorry.

I have a large collection of photographs that I am currently indexing and backing up onto an external HDD. Is there a way to prevent sausage fingered people, well me really, from deleting folders by mistake? I haven't done it yet and don't really want to!

    Many thanks.

The best thing you can do is make sure the Confirmation is turned on Recycle Bin Delete Confirmation - Turn On or Off

Bongo's advice is great as the Re-Cycle Bin is what saves your bacon.
Same goes in your e-mail by going into your trash bin and pulling it out.
Have pulled my head out of the trash bin more than once.

As an additional protection, you may want to change the permissions for the folder and deny yourself the "delete" privilege, so even if your fingers go crazy, you'll get an "access denied" error after an UAC prompt. Of course, this sets a barrier that you can lift yourself, but it's much harder.
