    Free startup protector

    Hi,

I am looking for a free program to warn me about changes to my startup programs.

I do check it manually but would like to automate the process.

    Thanks,

Can I ask a really stupid question - how many minutes should I setup winpatrol to check my startup...?

Winpatrol automatically detects changes to the registry.

It asked me to set up time how often it wants me to check for changes. The default was every 2 minutes.

I set it to 10 minutes. I do not really understand the meaning of it all. But I do not think this is all that significant.

    Thanks,

Any startup adds a registry value of "RUN" or RunOnce" to parts of the registry.
    Change you mind?

Oh, now I see what you meant. I guess the default 2 minutes is OK. That's what I use.

The first time I tried WinPatrol a few years ago and it drove me crazy.

But this time I configured it just to do what I need and it is a fantastic little tool.

    Thank you,
