    Malwarebytes in a great program.
Here is what I use on my computer.
    1. Microsoft Security Essentials anti virus
    2. Windows 7 built in Firewall
    3. Malwarebytes Anti Malware Pro
    4. Super Anti Spyware on demand
    5. FileHippo Update Checker on demand.
This works for me doing every day computing.
I use no torrents or P2P. Even with good security programs torrents or P2P will let things in your computer you don't want.
I use this program about once a month just to double check. No security program does it all.

Free Online Virus Scanner | ESET

Just a little note of caution. When downloading free programs be careful and read everything. Some sites are putting all kinds of extra things in the user agreement we never read.
Read through this and you will see what I mean. Many sites do these kinds of things not just Cnet.

Okay I tested a Cnet download (results)

Now they are hiding this garbage in the user agreement!!unbelievable!
I don't download anything free without some research first, but thanks for the
heads up on the user agreement

That is a great arsenal you have there Layback.
I don't do torrents or p2p as well.
My surfing is pretty boring for the most part,
but you never know what you might pick up.

I have Emsisoft as my realtime and malwarebytes as back up on demand,I like the highjackfree from eam
so I can keep am eye on the ports, and it has an online analysis option
Might switch that around when the licence runs out.

Just ran a microsoft saftey scan but I will look into eset.

What I gather from Emsisoft, clearfi was not listening(state was always blank)and showed as a "good" process
I had custom scanned it with eam and malwarebytes and it came back clean
    So I think I'm good
Still have a lot to learn, thanks again for your help, really appreciate it.:)
