Trouble logging into Facebook through photo organizer programs

I have a number of 3rd party photo organizing programs (Kodak Easyshare (defunct program, I know), ArcSoft Connect for Kodak, Picasa, Zoner Photo Studio, etc) that my wife & I have used at one time or another for uploading our pictures to Facebook, rather than going directly through Facebook's web interface. The other day my wife tried to upload some pictures through Easyshare, and was unable to log in to Facebook via Easyshare (she's able to log in on the browser just fine). I thought that it might be some sort of issue with Easyshare, with it now being unsupported software and all, but when I tried using ArcSoft, and now Zoner (which I just installed today), I have the same issues, so I am thinking that something inherent to my OS is causing the problem, since it is happening across the board.

I also just tried using Picasa, an similar issues. First a window will come up asking for me to click a button to login to Facebook. That will open a second window with the login screen. When I enter my username an password, this window changes to simply say "Success", and the window behind it displays a status bar that it's trying to log in to Facebook, but it just never completes. ArcSoft exhibits a similar behavior, the other programs just give me an error that I can't log in. I've attached a screen capture of what this looks like in Picasa below. If anyone can give me any ideas of what I could be checking into to rectify this problem, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

What I read on the news where I live FB is under attack, not sure if it was a DDoS attack or hacking attempt, I didn't read more then the headline since I don't got FB but if it was true or just fake no idea but that could be the cause of your problem
