Question about BufferZone Pro
Hi,
Anyone know anything good or bad about this software? I don't want to post a link in case it's not good software.
Thank You

When I searched for BufferZone Pro I got a return with this summary:
BufferZone Pro prevents ALL threats, even unknown (zero-day) threats that anti-virus misses. There are no signature updates, no maintenance and no response time
No software can do what that summary claims; some threats will get thru.
I looked at a few reviews to confirm that this software is a virtualization tool. This means that you can download and install an app - if the app turns out to be bad*, you can empty the BufferZone cache and (in theory) no changes will be made to your system. If the app is okay, you can then install it on your computer for real**.
*how do they expect us to know if it is bad?
Sure, some apps are obviously bad - some are not so obvious.
**you only delayed installing the app for real; but BufferZone might help you avoid the obviously bad stuff.
There is a search link in the upper right corner of this web page - search these forums using the term BufferZone for the inputs of others.
You can use the free Microsoft XP Mode to virtualize your surfing and to test some software... but you need to setup the XP Mode in a way that it drops all changes to the XP virtual OS when you turn it off. You also want to turn off file sharing.

I installed BufferZone Pro into a W7pro64bit virtual machine and the installer launches the default browser (in this case, IE9) to show you a tutorial. The tut appears to be presented as one large image that did not load:
I was able to surf elsewhere - but their tutorial is broken.
I then tried to install Flash. I left the option checked to let the flash download and install the Chrome browser inside the buffered zone. Flash installed, but the Chrome install failed. I would say that BufferZone Pro has some bugs to be worked out. It is certainly not worth paying for.
I have never hear of Buffer Zone. That would worry me right off the bat.
Please update your specs with a couple of new things that have been added so we know what antivirus you are using.

Are you looking for a antivirus program you can use?
I use MSE.
Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows
Hello UsernameIssues and Layback Bear,
Thanks for the replies. I was going to test the software in a VM, but got into another project so I thought I'd see if anyone already knew of this program and if it was any good. From UsernameIssues test I'd say I'll give it a pass.
Layback Bear my anti-virus is MSE and I'm happy with it and Malwarebytes. I'll update my specs.
Again thanks for the replies.
