Windows 7

I haven't. I'm on an old Dell Inspiron E1705, if that matters.

It works

Just follow the directions on this link. It works fine for me. You can actually just drag the installer into the cmd prompt and it will auto fill for you then just type " /force" after it. there is a space between the .exe and the backslash.

Windows 7 Ultimate Vista Ultimate x64

I think that they have known about this problem for far to long and they really should have a real fix for it by now, it's not good enough Google!

windows 7 RC

I think this is as good of a fix as we're going to get. In their defense though all you have to do is type a line on the cmd prompt and it works fine. I never had a problem while it was installed on 64-bit vista and still haven't had any troubles with it in windows 7

Windows 7 RC build 7100

I was getting security id errors and couldn't do any updates -- I reinstalled Google Desktop (including downloading the latest) on top of my old broken one, and all is now well.
