Windows 7 Folder Background Changer Help

Hi, I am currently working with the program called Windows 7 Folfer Background Changer, version 1.1 I believe, and so far I have been unsuccessful in using it. I am running Windows 7 HP x64 and it seems as though once you get all of the settings working, there is no way to apply the settings to the folder of your selection. I am not sure if I am missing something here, but so far it seems as though this program simply doesn't work. Yes? No? Not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

    Sincerely,

    Hello Ryan,

I haven't used it myself, but you might see if this may help. :)

The creator of Windows 7 FBC said here that it appears that the program doesn't work for some people for an unknown reason.
What might help is right clicking the program, and selecting "Run as Administrator". And when that doesn't help, you could re install it using the link I have provided.

When my fix and Brink his program both won't work, you can always achieve it without using any third party software at all, but I advise you to try that only when nothing else works.
This video will explain the process step by step.

Good luck and keep us posted!

    Solution to this problem...

It turns out that the AveBGFChanger program works much better than the program that we are trying to use. A simple registry edit and you have a built in ability to customize the backgrounds of your folders in Windows. A few things to keep in mind:

    1. Wherever you install/extract the AveBGFChanger to, make sure tha you wan it to stay there because if you move the flder that you extracted the folders to, it will actually undo the installation of the program.

    2. Don't forget to restart your system immediately after nstallation to make sure that te reg is ready to go for the new installation.

    3. Images for the background need to be size specific because the image you use will NOT autofit to fill the background of the folder so if you don't want a repeating image, find out the dimensions of a maximized folder window on your desktop.
