does DVD Shrink work in W7 64-bit?

I use DVD Shrink on my XP computer. I'm building a Windows 7 64-bit (home premium) computer now.

Will DVD shrink work on Windows 7 64-bit.

I've seen people here talk about DVD Shrink working, but not seeing a mention of it works on 64-bit or 32-bit.

I'm having trouble getting it to work. I have the 64bit version on windows 7. Shrink installs ok but when i go to open the program a box pops up and says shrink has stopped working with a couple of ways to trouble shoot. I have tried everything from all compatibilities to uninstall reinstall to run as admin and nothing works...any ideas?

I've been using DVD Shrink on the Beta, RC release as well as the RTM of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and I haven't had any problems whatsoever. I have a Netflix account and I rip almost everything down to re-writeable DVD's when I get them from Netflix...so I use this application all of the time.

Nice pparks1!

Yes DVD Shrink works great! I don't know why papahood is having issues. The best thing is that you don't need AnyDVD to rip DVDs into your hard drives. For some reason, all the other apps I used to rip a DVD into an ISO file will not allow you to do so if the DVD has some sort of copy protection on it. However, DVD Shrink, despite being really old, is able to surpass this without AnyDVD running. Weird.

You can set DVD Shrink to rip your DVD into an ISO of the exact same size.
Or you can set it to shrink your DVD and rip it so that it is small enough to be burnt onto a DVD-4.7GB. And it works with Windows 7. And it's free. This app was sent from our buddy Jesus himself.

hmm...i'm completely baffled. I've used shrink for a long time and didn't have any issues with vista or xp or anything else for that matter...but for some reason can't even get it to open in 7

if anyone has any ideas would be much appreciated

All i've done after the download is extract the app. and then install. when it asks me if i want to run it i say yes and it loads. But for some reason after the program has closed and i want to open it is when i run into issues...

Like the guys have said, mine installed fine too. But it on a Windows 7 64-bit computer just like I did for my old XP 32-bit. Installed and works perfect.

Sorry I don't know why it would be causing problems on your computer????
