    .NET 4 apps always crash

    Hi,
I use two .NET 4 apps, MetroTwit (stable, latest version) and Wunderlist. Both have a terrible issue where they immediately crash on launch with a window that looks like this:

Sometimes, if I repeatedly launch them like 5 times in under 3 seconds, they'll launch and work for a little bit, before displaying the same window.

I've tried using other .NET 4 apps to test this out to make sure it's not application-specific (so I would know whether to get support from the programmers or to get support for .NET).

I have .NET 4.5 installed with all the updates, I've reinstalled Windows 7 x64 SP1 several times over the past few months, and right now I'm positively clueless as to why all the .NET 4 apps I use don't work.

    Any help is appreciated :)

what other apps crash, and how do they crash?
Uninstall all .NET and run Windows Update.

Wow, thanks. Wunderlist seems to be working fine now, amazingly. Hope it lasts.

Well Wunderlist works but it seems MetroTwit and Mailbird (another .NET 4 app I use that hasn't had problems) require .NET 4.5, which isn't installed via WU for some reason. So Wunderlist has issues on 4.5 and MetroTwit is unstable on it.

Ugh, this is such a mess.

Yeah, and that sucks because it seems 4.5 is full of problems.

Well bud I don't know if it may help, but you could uninstall the 4.5 and run Updates again.
