Autostart application minimised
Ok so before you jump to conclusions please let me state that I have tried the Obvious.
Goal: real time sync folders from multiple computers on a single LAN to a server share.
Programmers Site:Dimio's Tools
Needs: I need a program that can sync folders from multiple windows based clients across a single local area network to a server share
Wishes: I am open to try alternative programs suggested, however I am looking for freeware and not trial ware or paid sw. (but please don't let that stop you from recommending it)
Problem: The program in question is very good on other OSs but on 7 its proving to be a bit un co operative.
I have it set to auto start, run as a service, I have edited the registry to auto start the program minimized - no success. I have set it via a batch, no success, and via the windows GUI via the drop down to start minimized also no joy.
What is missing: For this program to work it needs to be running and accessible via the system tray, and it is not.
When the computer in question boots, The program does auto start as you can see its process and its service. But there is no icon in the system tray.
Only until the program is launched and minimized, does it function correctly.
I would greatly appreciate any and all advice and assistance to help me resolve this issue.
