Ok let's see something .

Look for Akamai inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files

You will see a file inside the Akamai folder called appregistry.dat open that file inside Notepad . Please tell me the list that is inside .

well, there is no folder for akamai. i searched all the C: for "akamai" in the top right search bar in windows explorer.

-that is, if the old "akamai" program is the culprit

Open up the registry .

Click on type REGEDIT inside the Search programs and files box . When REGEDIT comes up under Programs (1) right click and choose Run as administrator . On the User Access Control window click on the Yes button .

Once the registry opens up click on Computer click on Edit and choose Find . Type in akamai choose Find Now button . If it locates anything with Akamai click on the Delete key on your keyboard then press F3 to continue to search for Akamai and click on Delete then again F3 until it says it could not locate Akamai .
