Windows Live messenger refuses to install

I go through the install and I get this message at the end of it:

yea, i didn't have that option since i didn't have an early enough restore point for myself.

Try deleting the contents of your temp folder and try the install again to see if that helps.

Why don't you try uninstalling it and go into safe mode with networking and reinstall it and turn any antivirus off right before you install it in safe mode.

Windows live messenger wont install !
I had problem on the messenger and it wont uninstall ,so I used Revo Uninstaller. After that I reinstall Windows live messenger but its still detect the messenger wich I had removed it by Revo !!

Cannot install Windows Live Messenger
Long story short, I uninstalled all Windows Live Services and ran CCleaner's registry cleaner. Now I get this error message whenever I try to install WLM. I get the same error message for Windows Live Mail, Photo Viewer, Movie Maker and possibly more.

Can Live Messenger auto-install be disabled?
