I use Photoshop but not Elements. I would imagine the requirements are the same.

You didn't say which version you were thinking of buying, but here's the information for PS Elements 11:

Comparing those specs to what photoshop requires, it does seem elements maybe need a bit less. But it seems like the computers people actually recommend for using photoshop blow the "required" specs away, so I was wondering if it was the same for elements and wondering what it would take to adequately run Elements 11.

The best upgrade to run PSE is RAM. The more RAM you have, the better PSE will perform.

Elements uses the same hardware requirements as normal Photoshop, and I would say it uses less than the ones recomended by Adobe... YOu can run that with at least 512 MB RAM and a decent processor (something around 1.2 Ghz should suffice).

Being Elements your target, system requirements don't include the GPU requirements, so there is no problems with it.
