How to update adobe flash & shockwave player?

The obvious thing to do is to uninstall both programs and then re-install them so you have the most up-to-date versions but I'm wondering if there was any other way to get the most up-to-date versions i.e. using a command.

Running W7 64bit btw

The popup came and I clicked "remind me later"

I was wondering if you could force it so that you could update at a more convenient time for you by running a command.
