I recently went to program files and found a folder labelled "kuaiyong". It has a folder called DRM which won't delete because its open in another program. When I used unlocker for that It says it unlocked/killed all processes related to that (some KYDriverservice.exe process running) but it still wont delete. My best guess is that the problem might be there. But I'm not sure myself as im kinda n00b to this. Once again, Thanks All for your help! I'll get my laptop on Saturday but until then I'll keep in touch using my Kindle Fire HD.

Cheers (not so happy yet but still...)

EDIT
Used this line[sc stop "KYDeviceServer" sc config "KYDeviceServer" start= disabled ] in cmd.exe to stop the process and delete KYDriverservice.exe and DRM folder but cannot delete shellext.dll and kuaiyong (program files) folder. the ipod symbol changed to a coffee icon in the kuaiyong(system folder) folder. ps. no luck with the folder either.

Merge this:
removeKY.reg

kyshellext is a shell extension. You need to unregister it.

regsvr32 /u dllname

Sorry I don't have my laptop now but three questions:
1. Will this work?
2. Is this safe? (Main question)
3. How do you merge a file/is it risky?
Thanks a lot!

Unlocker doesn't work... selected the folder, pressed ok but all it does is closes itself and folder still remains.

Maybe you selected delete and failed to mention it. I also hope that you were careful when you installed Unlocker or you may get unwanted software installed. Currently the installer for Unlocker is also installing the Delta toolbar by default.

For the sake of others that I'll be pointing to this post, I'll show the Delta toolbar offer and how to avoid it. During installation, select the Advanced option and unselect the unwanted offer.

Once installed, you should be able to right click on the folder (or file) to be deleted and select Unlocker from Explorer's context menu. You can also start Unlocker from the Windows Start menu. That will open a window (not shown below) that will let you navigate to the folder (or file) of interest.

Hopefully, the next screen that you will see if the User Access Control (UAC) screen. If you do not see this, then UAC may be turned off. Consider turning it on. See this thread.

You should see one of the next two screens. The first one will be shown if Unlocker does not find any application locking the folder to be deleted. The second one will show what is locking the files within the folder and/or the folder itself. If deleting the folder [or file(s)] is the desired action, then you must select Delete and press OK or Unlock All.

Again, for the sake of others that I'll be pointing to this post, Unlocker can be downloaded from the author's website or from FileHippo.

When downloading software like this - you should consider checking with virustotal.com to see what various antivirus companies think of it. In this case, several companies think that Unlocker is bad...
https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/f...5397/analysis/
...but I've not had a problem with it.

edit: unlocker is a nice/powerful/dangerous app... be careful how you use it!
