    What version of Photoshop?

I have been using PS 5.0 for the past 8-10 years. All I do is digital photo's, mostly crop and some minor color correction.

Now that I have a 64bit system I think it's time for a upgrade. I've looked at PS 11.0, very affordable on evilbay, about $50. Are there other options out there? I doubt I would use 90% of the stuff PS 11 can perform. I'm open to freeware, shareware or commercial programs.

GIMP looks to be very powerful. Easy install, looks to be a steep learning curve. Surprised at the number of self help books on Amazon for Gimp, kindle versions are very affordable.
