Photoshop CS4 Fails I had installed Photoshop CS4 and updates on Win 7 32-bit. It was working for a while.
Now, whenever I start Photoshop, the splash screen displays followed by the message that "Adobe Photoshop CS4 has stopped working." The event log contains: Quote: Faulting application name: Photoshop.exe, version: 11.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x48d3882e

Report Id: 33731935-bb44-11de-9e1a-0018f386a4fa I tried uninstalling all Photoshop components, rebooting, and reinstalling. The same failure occurs, whether Photoshop updates have been applied or not.
Bridge CS4 works fine.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I'd appreciate any suggestions! | My System Specs |

Well, never mind, it appears to have been some kind of problem with Photoshop preferences. I started Photoshop with Alt+Shift+Ctrl and the problem went away. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number home-built OS Win 7-32, XP Pro-32 CPU Xeon 3070 (2.66 GHz) Motherboard Asus P5W DH Deluxe, BIOS 2901 Memory 4 GB Graphics Card PowerColor ATI Radeon HD 5750 (fanless) Sound Card on-board Monitor(s) Displays Dell U2711 Screen Resolution 2560x1440 Keyboard Lexmark IBM Type "M" - PS/2 connector Mouse Wacom Intous4, Logitech Wheel Mouse as backup PSU Seasonic SS-650HT Case Antec P180 Cooling Sunbeam Tuniq Tower 120, 4 120mm fans (variable rpm) Hard Drives All SATA:

Hmm... Is it just a 32-bit thing? PS-CS4 seems to be working fine in Windows 7 64-bit. I am running the 32-bit version of PS. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Windows 7 Pro 64-bit CPU AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 920 Motherboard GA-MA78G-DS3H Memory 8 GB DDR2-1033 Graphics Card ATI Radeon 1650 Sound Card built-in Monitor(s) Displays Asus 19-inch 1680x1050, IBM 19-inch 1280x1024 Hard Drives WD5000AAJS 500gb Boot

If you hold down the Ctrl, Alt, and Shift keys when starting Photoshop, Photoshop erases its preferences data while starting. This is the Photoshop architected way of recovering from corrupted preferences data. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number home-built OS Win 7-32, XP Pro-32 CPU Xeon 3070 (2.66 GHz) Motherboard Asus P5W DH Deluxe, BIOS 2901 Memory 4 GB Graphics Card PowerColor ATI Radeon HD 5750 (fanless) Sound Card on-board Monitor(s) Displays Dell U2711 Screen Resolution 2560x1440 Keyboard Lexmark IBM Type "M" - PS/2 connector Mouse Wacom Intous4, Logitech Wheel Mouse as backup PSU Seasonic SS-650HT Case Antec P180 Cooling Sunbeam Tuniq Tower 120, 4 120mm fans (variable rpm) Hard Drives All SATA:
