Sounds like you need to Adjust Win7 to boot on new hardware with Paragon Adaptive Restore CD.

Once adjusted, if it still won't start or is unstable, confirm the Partition Marked Active is System Resrved (preferred if you have it) or C and run Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times

Running Sysprep on a different Hardware was the Solution. After Sysprep I was able to start the disk on the new Mainboard.

I have added the following three labels to the utterly useless Easy RE CD I misguidedly bought and burnt
"Turgid is too good a word for this disgustingly slow loading (until a menu opens) program"
"It is obviously an utter scam.Selecting auto repair produces only a non-stop (spinning)"
"Woolmark icon and an insulting "please wait''"

John, although I've never used it this is the first time I've heard this about EasyRE. Perhaps the problems with loading are actually hardware problems?

EasyBCD is one of the top tools we use here and it's author Mahmoud is a 7F contributor and will want to hear about this. You can message him by clicking on Computer Guru in his post above. Have you contacted their tech support?

John, I'm very sorry to hear that this has been your experience with EasyRE. I don't think our support team has heard anything from you, but I genuinely apologize in all cases.

There is a known issue (and the support team is apprised of it) wherein EasyRE will display a "Please Wait" dialog. We've been trying to track it down for months, but it's a bit of a rara avis - it almost never happens and is not an error we've ever been able to reproduce in the lab.

As far as we can tell, it's caused by an invalid partition table (or chain of extended partition records) in the MBR. Most computers with this condition cannot even get the Windows setup CD to load (it'll hang after the loading screen) and as such cannot even format and reinstall (without nuking the disk contents from a *nix/BSD-based partition management program or another PC). On PCs with this problem, EasyRE *will* boot, but it will hang when it attempts to scan the disks.

We're so determined to fix this what we have an open offer for all of our customers that run into this problem: send us your laptop or your hard drive in the mail (we'll pay for shipping), and we'll take a look, fix whatever is wrong with your PC for free if we can, and get it back to you.

In the meanwhile, anyone with this problem is provided with alternate versions of EasyRE as well as other recovery options, and otherwise given the option of a full and complete refund.

Send an email to support@systemdiscs.com and make sure to mention my name, I'll make sure we get you a refund. Also, think about my offer.

    Cheers,

    Mahmoud
