Gentlemen, I have a S/W problem w/ a company which has apparently gone bust (Smart Address). I've been using the pgm. for yrs and have a great deal of addresses and misc. dta associated w/ it.
A few months ago I had a Win-7 HD failure and reinstalled the Win-7 sys. as well as numerous other files/pgm's onto a new drive.
I'm a registered owner of the pgm (Smart Address 2000 ver 4.6) and when I reinstalled it I get a msg. saying "Evaluation Licence Expired". It also mentions to use the product you need to obtain a license from the vendor (sa2k.com - CONTACT MANAGER Resources and Information. This website is for sale!
), which of course is unavailable. The pgm. also won't allow me to enter the lic. info. The same occurs when I reinstall the pgm.
I can access the original failed disc w/ the Smart Address directory and related files. I then x-fer'ed all the files from the old disc onto the new one but I still get the Lic expired msg. In the original directory there is a subdirectory (Database) w/ 29 files (starting w/ SA_ and having a .FTD extention. Any ideas as to how I can get the pgm. to work or at least be able to access the database would be greatly appreciated. Thanx so much.
