    I Phone software

My daughter-in-law wanted to retrier her old phone. She wanted to get the pictures off of it before she turned it over to the kids. She hooked it up to my computer and performed that task. Now we have the pictures for keepsake. But now there is an icon down in my lower right bar with an emblem there that I can't get rid of. If I right click on it, it gives me two options. "Launch v cast media Manager" and "Do not launch v cast media Manager when I connect my phone'. How do I uninstall this program? Thanks

That's odd, can you go in the start menu and type msconfig and open that and go to the start up tab.

If it's in your system tray it should be showing there.

It may be named VMMModeSelection in msconfig. See if there is any entries in Program Files for Apple, iPhone, or Verizon and there would be a VMMModeSelection.exe or possibly a ModeSelection\VMMModeSelection.exe.

Your right, in msconfig there was a line that said VMM mode select. I unchecked it and restarted and symbol was gone.
I was wrong, not knowing fancy phones, but it is a Droid phone.
If I go into programs and features there 3 lines that says:
    Apple Application support
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Apple Software Update
Is this part of that Droid phone and can them be removed?
    Thanks

Well all three of those are for an Apple device, either iPhone or iPad.

    Apple doesn't have a Droid.

What is the current phone being used?

I'm sorry but I don't really know. I asked her yesterday and I sure she said a Droid. I did see HTC some where. Is HTC associated with I Phone or I Pad? Even though, I don't have any phone associated with my computer, so could probably remove them? Thanks

That's alright, we know both phones existed at one time or another.

HTC would be the Droid, if you don't have a phone you can remove all that stuff.

Won't your daughter be plugging into your computer sometime though?
