Windows 7: Adobe Acrobat Portfolio - documents saved where?

Hi there,

I do use Adobe Acrobat PDF Portfolios heavily, yet I have to acknowledge, I don't really know where the files are actually saved? I mean, is it always saved in the PDF portfolio file itself? I ask this, because there is one PDF portfolio with which I actually work a lot and it contains not only PDFs but a Mindjet Mindmanager mindmap. And I have the feeling that this is a little wobbly since the open file seems to be saved at a temporary place?

I'm just thinking about if there will be any problems if I move or rename the portfolio? Maybe that seems to be a strange question to you, but I wasn't brave enough to try it yet, not even with a copy.
It might be because the portfolio technology is pretty new and still seems a little odd to me, although I use it so much.

If there's any Adobe expert here, I'd be glad to ge more details!
