Software registries messed up

Hello!
I'm experiencing the following problem with my current operational system. I have a 32GB SSD where I installed only my System. Then I moved my Users and Program data folders using Audit to my 750GB HDD. Everything worked perfect until just recently the automatic update messed up something in the registries (at least I think so). Now I can't start any program installed on my HDD. Unfortunately, I can't revert the process with my current restore points. Can you help me, please, correct the registry entries so that I could run my applications without reinstalling them or the operational system? Thank you in advance! :)

Was it a Windows Update? If so, Windows Updates only cause problems when something is wrong with the operating system to begin with.

So, I made a clean reinstall and now - two weeks later - I'm experiencing the same problem. This time not that severe - only one program is affected. Is it because I moved the user directory on another drive? I'm thinking now that the libraries are the issue.

What the Bear said! 32gb is on the small side for a W7 drive. I keep all programs and data on a spinner and yet the Windows drive has grown to 41GB.

That 120GB SSD would speed up my applications as well, so I am considering replacing mine. For now I've reinstalled that problematic program and turned off the windows updater so that it doesn't mess with my libraries or registries. We'll see how it turns out.

Why did you turn off Windows Update? Your going to miss out on many important security patches and stability improvements, thus making your system more vulnerable to problems and security exploits.

If that helps my system become stable, I'll be happy with the trade off. At least until I get another SSD to put all my programs on. Thank you all. I'll keep you informed if I find the roots of the issues.

Usually, problems only occur with Windows Update, due to system file or registry modification/corruption, I would purchase a larger SSD and then perform a clean install. What did you clean install with beforehand?
