Uninstall to reinstall or just reinstall cs5 premiere pro

error message :m2ts AVCHD suddenly giving unsupported compression error
I have just had this happen to me
Video files I have opened previously in Premiere Pro cs5 are now giving me this damn error message.
I really am coming to hate this program. Big talk low on performance.
    So what should I do?
Some say to reinstall it, other open it by holding down Alt/Shift. I did that alt shift and nothing changed.
So if I reinstall.....DO I HAVE TO UNINSTALL it to then reinstall it OR do I just INSTALL??

this has been one horrible week for me and my computer..
I totally am thankful for expert advice.

This error is usually given when the trail period is over and you have to activate the product
    in-order to use that plugin.

If you own the product, did you try an update?

    reinstalled

ok thanks I just reinstalled it but
I think that this program sucks
    so many things like:
    MEDIA PENDING
    LONG RENDERING TIMES
    GREEN SCREEN PREVIEWS

and I have only used it for a short time
I see the potential in the effects variety
    but damn
    I would rather use ULEAD

What is your opinion of cs5??

    I don't have much experience with CS5.
