Application windows keep moving to monitor 1, how to save/restore pos?

Hey guys!
Hopefully the subject line gives you the right idea.

I've got a Samsung laptop, with a second monitor hooked up via HDMI. I use important charting software with many windows multiplied by workspace settings- so easily 30 windows placed strategically on my second monitor.

However whenever I close the lid of my laptop to go to work (I have windows "Close the lid" setting set to "Do Nothing") then open it, all my application windows have been moved onto my primary monitor (the laptop screen). This is frustrating and time consuming to move them back...

Does anyone know of an application that could be used to remember/save and restore window positions? just that? I've looked at heaps of layout applications, but they do not do exactly that or just rearrange automatically. I just simply want to be able to save my layout across two monitors, and restore it using a small simple UI or hotkey.

Any ideas?
cheers,
Jordan
