3rd party multi-monitor management program (Snap, taskbar, etc)

I recently got a second monitor, and I am looking for some kind of software to help better manage multiple monitors. It's pretty obvious to me Windows doesn't come with much native "support" for this kind of stuff.

Anywho, the main thing I am looking for, is greater Snap functionality. With one screen, you can click and drag a window to the edge of the screen, and it snaps to one half, but on multiple monitors, only the outside edges work. It would be nice if there was a program which could act a little like google chrome's tab placement system, when you drag a new tab into a new window, you can hover over the edge of a screen, even if its an edge between another screen, and it pops up with the option to snap to that half of the screen. It would also be kind of nice to be able to snap to corners, allowing me to easily put say, explorer windows in all 4 corners of the screen, quickly and easily.

Secondly, it would be nice to have a taskbar on the second monitor, but it would be nice if I could chose to hide the task bar on the second monitor, while still having the taskbar on the first visible.

Different backgrounds would be nice, though this is just a "cool extra feature" in my mind.

I had a look around and found a few programs like Display Fusion, which can serve some of these purposes, but I would like some other opinions or experiences with these programs.

    Thanks,
    Tom

I've never had multiple monitors. But I can recommend a few of places to look.
    Softpedia.com
    Snapfiles.com
    sourceforge.net

Also you can ask on this forum for recommendations.

The site has as goal promotion of donations to software developers but see the info there before you reject it due to lack of enthusiasm for parting with cash. The owner of the site, Mouser, is not one to exclude people due to lack of funds. See details there.
