It didn't find any system file corruption. I really don't know what else to suggest.

    woohoo!

ran a disk check and reinstalled with success!

weird that the reliability history still says that windows installed stopped, but itunes is now fully functional!

    thanks, again, for everyone's help!

So you ran chkdsk and it had some sort of corruption, and then it installed? Nice to know. Thanks for letting us know.

    RDP and iTunes

Have similar issue with iTunes 9.0.1.8 with Win7 Ultimate 32-bit.

Uninstalled/re-installed while in front of computer, with no luck. Was playing with it while at work and it worked fine using RDP.

Now back in front of my computer, tried changing some of the settings within compatibility tab (disable visual themes, desktop composition, scaling on high dpi) and instead of just dying at 7mb within processes menu, it will ramp up to 23mb and then just stop.

Video card is a EVGA 8800GTS 640mb using driver 8.16.11.9107. After the RDP test, definitely think this issue is video related.
