    when I try to download Skype, avast Malware stops the download. What can I do to stop the interference?

    Are you downloading from here?
    Download Skype on your computer - Windows, Mac, and Linux - Get Skype

    You can turn Avast off while downloading to see if that helps.

    Welcome to Seven Forums L Maclaren. If downloading from the legit site in Britton30's post, Avast Antivirus should not block the download. Can you post a screenshot of the error, or popup that you get?

i have tryed to log in to skype to day but all it does is log in for ages then come up with an error "skype can't connect" i have tried everything to fix it but nothing works. i have uninstalled it, restarted pc, restarted modem. i can connect to everything else but skype and it was working earlier...

I have done a search of the Forum but didn't find anything relevant. I wonder if members of this Forum have considered using Skype purely for the social side of the Forum. I would not advocate it's use for helping others as that to me defeats the object of the Forum. Just a thought. Some members...
