PSCO2007 Let me see if I understand correctly.

You have a bluray movie on a disc and it won't play is that correct?
Where did you get the disc from?

    OR

You downloaded a movie and are trying to burn it to a disk and then play it.

Disc is from Redbox - won't play with Arcsoft. Does play with Power Dvd.
I would like to play the burned file, but can't get it to play from HDD.

Okay I think I understand now.
You have rented a movie from Redbox that is wright protected and you are trying to copy it to your hard drive and then burn a disc. Is that correct?

I used Make Mkv and on post 4 it shows the decrypted file- 30gb.

It does play (original bluray) using Power dvd - but no menus and have to wade through tons of previews.

To make matters worse, it plays on my stand-alone bluray player on my TV, but the quality is no better than a regular dvd.

I'm sorry I even got the internal bluray drive.

    Your confusing me.
Does the disc you got from Redbox not play on your Bluray player and plays using another player?
Your disc you got from Redbox with the movie is wright protected and can not be copied.

The bluray plays on my comp with Powerdvd (not arcsoft which says it is write-protected.)

No menus on either, which is a royal pain.

The Makemkv program I referenced in (post 1) decrypted the files (post 4).

Why are you trying to decrypt anything. Just play the movie in your bluray player and enjoy it.

Well, I realized I used the program incorrectly (Makemkv) the first time.
Now it worked properly and the backup is correct.

Now, when I play the movie, it goes right to the main movie and the annoying previews are gone and it automatically gives me the option of using ccs and VLC plays it - no need to pay for a third-party player.:):)

I have two computers with bluray players and I don't use any 3rd party programs to play any DVD.
