Looking for a good Task Manager

I'm looking for a Task Manager with an option to highlight specific processes (regardless of category like Own, System etc), and a 'Start Time' column in the Processes tab.

    Thank you.

This one has the start time in the processes tab.. Extensions for Windows - The Unofficial Windows Upgrade

There are many alternatives. I trust you have looked at each of these already?

    Thank you TanyaC.

    I'm using Process Hacker.
    - I'm looking for an option to highlight specific processes regardless of their category. Unfortunately neither Process Hacker nor Process Explorer provides such a feature.

I've spent some time looking for a better task manager myself, but I must say, I've never seen one that does what you need... And shows the start time to boot (no pun intended).

Well, best of luck in your search. Perhaps someone else has seen what you are looking for..

    take care

Yes Process Hacker is one of the best. Also not so much a process explorer as a process regulator try Process Lasso i use it aswell...

How about Process Explorer where you find a goldmine of info about every process - e.g. in Properties of a process. Here is a random example.

Thank you. I appreciate your recommendation.

Process Lasso looks like a very good tool. I couldn't find an option to highlight processes. :)
Daphne is the only Task Manager I've found with good customizable highlight options. Doesn't have a 'Start Time' column though.

Process Explorer would be excellent if it had an option to highlight specific processes.

Hmm, that I have never tried. You can highlight them one by one. But I guess that does not stick. For what do you need that anyhow.
