Is it possible and how it works to run 32-bit app in a separate process on Windows 7, 64.bit, SP1?

I'm not sure that I understand your question.

Aren't all apps running as a separate process?

32 bit applications always run in a separate process in all versions of Windows. By default multiple 16 bit applications run in the same process in 32 bit Windows but they don't run at all in 64 bit Windows.

Thx a lot, but I'm still wondering under Windows, why some apps can freeze the whole system and you can press only power button. That's not like on Linux.
