    Adobe Reader X1

Can anyone tell me please! What is it with Adobe Reader X1 that I cannot open a PDF file, I click on "Open" and I get a nice blue framed screen asking me whether I want to open or save the file. I click open this blue screen disappears, I get all excited and back it comes again, asking me the same question. I try to be smart and have a go at saving it as a Word D.doc, still no go. I tried with opening Adobe Reader X1 and converting the file from a PDF to a M'soft Word doc, no go there either, the file was protected by a password, rather strange as it is an advert from the Church of England published for all and sundry to read.

    Can anyone help me please?

You might try this alternative and see how it goes,
PDF Reader | PDF Viewer | Foxit Reader
You might Uninstall Adobe reader XI first before downloading foxit,
    Cheers.
