    Lenovo's Downloads and Unwanted Bundleware

Many people are unhappy about these PUP's (potentially unwanted program) that are being bundled along with Lenovo's downloads. Please be aware if you start getting ads after one of their updates.

Example: Registry Reviver - Recommended by Lenovo - Lenovo Community

I disabled/uninstalled all Lenovo unwanted software as soon as I got my new IdeaCenter K450. I have no/none/zip/0 Lenovo programs or services running on my computer.

I think it is bad that Lenovo is doing this. The people complaining in the forums should be complaining directly to Lenovo. That's the only thing that might make a difference.

Jacee, I have a new Lenovo laptop which has a 7 Clean Install on it. The only software I wanted is the Battery optimizer which keeps it charged at only 60% when plugged in by AC power, to supposedly extend its life. I didn't see anything come in with the download. Is this only a problem with preinstalled software or Updates they push through with their online Updates spyware?

Greg, I don't know. I have a new Lenovo B590 Windows Pro laptop, but I've disabled everything that I don't think is necessary to run this computer.

The only thing I want to point out is the fact that Lenovo is Promoting crapware as quoted by

There are a few packages being tested which will offer the user the option of installing other software options.

There are many of us who would like to see this 'practice' stopped!

I think its the Lenovo Solution Center which causes the problem with Downloads .. Lenovo seem to be always testing software its best avoided ..
