DVDFab: some discs can only be played in Simple Mode?

Maybe someone here can help: I've been testing out DVDFab, only having the unregistered version. First time no problems, however I've been using it recently, and I haven't been able to play some of my blu rays normally so far; while some can be played alright (Superman vs The Elite), the others either they load too long (The Crow), or cannot go to the menu after the trailers' end (Sin City). I can only use it under Simple Mode, which is just playing the movie, not play the features or access the menus as already stated, etc. This is weird, and sad since when I started, it was great and was going to buy it once it expired. Now with this, makes me wanna rethink that. Is it a glitch, or something that is stopping the player from completely accessing certain blu rays to act normal? I don't know. Does anyone out there know?

Per se, DVDFab is not a media player.

"DVDFab allows you to copy DVD, back-up and rip Blu-ray, convert Blu-ray to DVD, convert 2D to 3D, rip Blu-ray 3D, create your own DVDs and Blu-ray's, convert videos to other different formats such as AVI, MP4, WMV, MKV, 3GP, etc. and much more."

Speaking of Blu-ray movie discs, newer BDs come with newer protection algorithms and the trial version of the DVDFab does not get the necessary updates to play these (for you to copy or rip or convert.)

If you buy the licensed version, you may get the necessary updates to deal with the newer algorithms within a month ( as stated by the author of DVDFab)

Comparatively, Slysoft's AnyDVD HD gets the necessary updates within a week of a new protection algorithm emerging. ( But it has a steep price for a lifetime subscription - notwithstanding, I have two licenced versions of AnyDVD HD on two of my computers.)

EDIT: Even if you mean DVDFab's Media Player which came into existence only recently, what is stated above applies.
