How can I restore the listing in Uninstall a program in Control Panel

I was installing from a disk the program of a new HP4620 printer. There was so much crap on the disk that it took over my my laptop. By uninstalling all this crap something strange happened and all the listing of programmes dissapeared in the "Control Panel - Uninstall a program" and I have no idea how I can get this back in place. Someone can help me with this problen, please?

Run System Restore. Choose a date before you first installed the printer software.

Thanks, I did his already two times but the list of all the installed programs didn't come back, it is very strange I had never this problem before. So I went to look in local disk C, program files and there I did find several of the programs installed from the HP disk and also the uninstall link. This way I could uninstall the bad programs. Maybe the only way is to reinstall W7 but I would prefer to get all back in the Uninstall a Program listing.

System Restore removes the recent changes you made when you installed the printer installation software. Once you return to a date prior to installing the printer software you will need to reinstall it.

Instead of installing from the CD, it's better to go to the manufacturers website and install the newest version of the software.

Here's a link to the downloads available for your printer:

    Software & driver downloads HP Officejet 4620 e-All-in-One Printer | HP® Support

Start with installing HP Officejet Full Feature Software and Driver. Use recommended install. During install, keep your printer turned off until you are prompted to turn it on. After you have finished, there will be a Desktop icon for your printer. Your printer is now installed.

This time I would leave the other programs installed. We can deal with that later.

Next, go back to the HP Download site and continue installing the other downloads available.

Once everything is downloaded, go ahead and test all the functions on your printer.

Let us know how your doing, so far.
