| | [Windows Live Messenger] Intermittent hanging Anyone encountered intermittent hanging of Windows Live Messenger on Win 7? I've been getting that on my main system which will render WLM usable for around 15 secs then hang for around 6-10 secs. Other apps work fine during the period when WLM is "hung". 2 complete reinstalls of OS and trying out an earlier version of WLM does not work. Using the latest version of WLM 2009 Any help will be greatly appreciated. |

| | I am facing Windows Live Messenger hanging problems. often when I start to send messages it stops responding for 10~15 seconds then its hangs in typing the messages. I have Windows 7 Ultimate and WLM Version 2009 14.0.8089.726 I think it may be because of Windows Defender as the problems occured more frequently after updating the Defender definitions 1.71.26.0 KB915597 I have disabled the Defender for now on lets see if it works.  |

| | Live Messenger hangs on all platforms it runs on, incessantly. It's bloated adware that I wouldn't touch with a bargepole personally as all my contacts are quasi-permanently disappointed by it's freezing, crashing, failed file transfers, poor consistency of video and audio, and periodical forced updates. Logitech vid' does far superior 1:1 video chat, and there's absolutely no risk of virals  |

| | Still its hanging the system and specialy when new chat window opened it hangs for a while. I did the following but no results Defender Disabled. Games for Windows Update Installed - LIVE 3.1 (if it may link with messenger) PC Tools Antivirus Installed Version 2009 (free edition) in place of Avira Free AV System set on High Power Mode |
