Windows 7 - MatLab installer error

HELP PLZ!!!

i got the below error:

installer error exception calling main

Does enyone know what is going on?

No, but i assume you were trying to install and it failed. we are going ton eed a lot more information

Where did you downlaod the dvd from? what did you burn it with?

We don't even know if he was installing Windows or an application INTO Windows....LOL

I was trying to install MatLab and suddenly this message appears : "installer error exception calling main" ...... Does anyone know????

what version of matlab are you trying to install. Version before 2009a seem to have a known issue with Java in windows 7.

If you are installing a version earlier than 2009a then follow these steps:
1. change your theme to basic (without aero).
2. Install the latest java
3. rename the folder
program files->matlab-> YOUR VERSION OF MATLAB->sys->java->
jre->win32->jre1.5.0.7 to original_jre1.5.0.7
4. go to program files->java copy jre6 and paste in the matlab folder in win32. rename this folder to jre1.5.0.7

Hello, recently i am facing the same problem. @riskyayush i follow exactly what u says and the error gone and my Matlab is working now. But one thing. When i use Aero theme and run Matlab it shows me error message and it gets closed. But when i switch to windows basic theme it works. Can you solve out that?
