    Applications requiring permission to launch

    Hello folks,

Obviously I have lived with this for years but I have gotten fed up. When starting some applications, every time I launch them, Windows prompts me whether to allow or deny. Is there a way that I can White List any such applications? I don't want to totally turn it off, I just want to not have to authorize those specific apps anymore.

    TIA

    UAC bypass

If you mean bypass UAC then you can create elevated Shortcuts for those apps.

Elevated Program Shortcut without UAC Prompt - Create

However they will run with below normal priority by default unless you edit the XML:

Setting a scheduled task process priority | BDBits Bytes

A way around the problem is to use the following software to create elevated shortcuts that will start with normal priority:

On the other hand if you mean the Windows Attachment Manager that warns you that a file might be unsafe before opening it then it's not the same problem!

I will give a specific example: after installing it, run Secunia PSI. You will see what I mean.

    Secunia PSI

Running Secunia PSI from an elevated shortcut I get no prompt.

Tip: Click this image to view a short demonstration.

Running Secunia PSI from a normal shortcut with RUNAS inserted into the command line also produces no prompt:

    Creating an Elevated Shortcut:

Tip: It's better to use Secunia PSI v.2.0 as you get more control and it doesn't leave a service running in the background all the time!
